Sherzod Shermatov: President often says salary of teachers should be $1,000

Today, on March 26, a press conference was held in the press hall of the Agency for Information and Mass Communications on the topic “Problems related to raising the status of a teacher in society”.
According to correspondents of “Khalk Suzi”, during the event, the Minister of Public Education Sherzod Shermatov delivered a speech. He spoke about how the state and the president pay attention to raising the status of teachers in society.
“The first presidential decree was aimed at raising the status of teachers. At each selector meeting, the president talks about the problems of teachers. “We will not stop until their salary reaches $1,000,” the president often says. We will definitely rise to this level,” the minister noted.
He also stated that in many schools there are such basic problems as lack of water, heating, etc.
