9.7 billion soums damage caused to the environment since the introduction of moratorium – State Ecology Committee
At a press conference held at the Agency for Information and Mass Communications, First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection Narzulla Oblomurodov briefed on works done during the moratorium period.

According to Oblomurodov, in ten months, a total of 4,018 applications were received from individuals and legal entities, in which they asked for permission to cut down 188,943 trees and shrubs.
As of November 20, the total number of violations was 3,897, the fines imposed amounted to 4.3 billion soums, of which 2.7 billion soums were reimbursed.
Reportedly, the damage to the environment amounted to 9.7 billion soums, of which 2.9 billion soums were recovered. Documents collected in 338 cases (6.9 billion soums) for the recovery of uncollected fines and damage to the environment were submitted to the relevant authorities (court, prosecutor’s office, BCE, DIA).
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the perpetrators on 17 cases.
