Uzbekistan Airways resumes flights to Rome
Flights to Rome were terminated in 2021 as part of the company’s cost cuts.

Uzbekistan Airways is launching a new flight on the Urgench-Rome-Tashkent route in autumn, the company said in a statement.
Flights will be carried out every Tuesday. Schedule (local time for all locations):
departure from Urgench - 14:40, arrival in Rome - 17:45;
departure from Rome - 19:15, arrival in Tashkent - 4:15.
The cost of a ticket on the route Urgench - Rome starts from 3,705,265 soums, a return ticket - from 7,025,360 soums. Prices are valid for 26 July.
Prior to this, the airline announced the launch of flights on the Urgench-Milan-Tashkent route. Flights will be operated on Fridays starting August 19.
Uzbekistan Airways suspended flights to Italy amid the spread of COVID-19 in March 2020. Later, in the spring of 2021, the air carrier decided to completely terminate flights to Rome and 8 other destinations to optimize costs.
