This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, answering questions from journalists, RIA Novosti reports.
“There are a lot of issues that require mutual agreement, elaboration and adoption of agreed and, perhaps, even somewhere compromise solutions, they can definitely be found. That is, in this sense, it can be some kind of energy alliance,” Putin said.
At the same time, the President recalled the obligations to the EAEU countries.
“Uzbekistan is still an observer, but this, of course, is also a reason for Uzbekistan to take a closer look at the work of the EAEU and find here common ground with the EAEU as a whole,” he added.
Earlier, the Uzbek Energy Minister said that the country’s authorities would not allow any political conditions to be imposed on the sale and purchase of natural gas.
Later, the Kremlin decided to comment on this statement.
