Uzbekistan and Pakistan discuss strengthening cooperation in information technology and telecommunications
Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Oybek Usmanov met with Pakistan's Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunications, Shaza Fatima Khawaja.

During the meeting, opportunities for establishing mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Pakistan in the field of information technology and telecommunications were discussed.
The Pakistani side was informed about the reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan in this sector, additional opportunities created for all segments of the population and business entities, the introduction of e-government, and the activities of IT parks.
Attention was drawn to the rapid development of the services market in Uzbekistan and the use of high-tech and innovative solutions in areas such as healthcare, energy, transport, education, construction, banking, taxation, customs, agriculture, and water resource management.
In turn, the Pakistani side highly appreciated Uzbekistan's achievements in the field of information technology, the digitalization of public services, and the use of artificial intelligence, expressing interest in establishing cooperation in this direction.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to explore promising and mutually beneficial areas of cooperation between the two countries, create a joint working group, and develop a corresponding "roadmap."
