Authorities investigate gas explosion at Andijan mosque
A government commission has been established to investigate the explosion that occurred in a mosque in Andijan.

According to the press service of the Prime Minister, the commission will be led by Deputy Prime Minister Ochilboy Ramatov.
The commission has been tasked with:
- Providing comprehensive support to the families of those who lost their lives in the tragic incident.
- Ensuring urgent medical assistance for the injured.
- Investigating the causes of the explosion at the mosque.
- Implementing preventative measures to avoid similar emergencies in the future.
Details of the incident
On March 31, a gas explosion in the ablution area of a mosque in Izboskan district resulted in the deaths of three people and injuries to ten others.
Following the incident, the regional governor, emergency services, law enforcement agencies, the National Guard, the Sanitary and Epidemiological Service, the Prosecutor’s Office, and Hududgazta’minot, along with district emergency response teams, arrived at the scene to mitigate the consequences.
