Gov’t to enforce income tax for artists from 2027
Many artists have not fully declared their income, preventing the collection of taxes, according to officials.

Under current regulations, artists and singers are required to file income declarations and pay taxes accordingly. However, many fail to comply, leaving their earnings undeclared, according Mubin Mirzayev, First Deputy Chairman of the Tax Committee.
To address this issue, the government is preparing a draft resolution as part of efforts to combat the shadow economy. Artists will be given time in 2025 and 2026 to correct and submit accurate income declarations.
From January 1, 2027, those who fail to fully disclose their income or evade taxes will face tax audits, and unpaid taxes will be calculated and collected.
