Uzbekistan urges citizens to avoid travel to Israel and Iran amid rising tensions

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan has stated that the country has consistently urged all parties in the region to pursue peace through mutual dialogue. Citizens currently in Israel and Iran are advised to leave dangerous areas.

Akhror Burkhanov, press secretary of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced that due to the sharp escalation of tensions in the Middle East, Uzbek citizens are strongly advised to refrain from traveling to Israel and Iran.

“The sharp deterioration of the situation in the Middle East deeply concerns us. Uzbekistan has always called on all parties in the region to move toward peace through mutual negotiations,” the statement reads.

In light of the growing instability, citizens are urged to avoid travel to these countries. Those already in Israel and Iran are advised to leave high-risk zones if possible.

“Necessary measures are being taken to ensure safety. We ask our citizens to remain vigilant and follow official announcements,” the Ministry added.

Earlier, Uzbekistan’s embassy in Tel Aviv reported that Israel’s Ministry of Tourism had introduced a special digital form for tourists temporarily in the country, aimed at facilitating their safe departure. Additionally, approximately 60 Uzbek citizens have recently been repatriated from Iran.
