Seven metro stations in Tashkent to close for maintenance starting June 28
Starting from June 28, large-capacity shuttle buses will operate for free between the affected stations from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

According to the press service of “Tashkent Metro” State Unitary Enterprise, planned maintenance work will be carried out on newly constructed elevated metro lines and stations to ensure the safety of train operations, protect passenger welfare, and maintain high service standards. After a certain period of use, these infrastructure elements require scheduled preventive maintenance.
In this context, phased maintenance works lasting approximately three months are currently underway on the “Technopark – Qipchoq” section of the above-ground circular metro line, which includes 14 stations.
To proceed with the next phase of the planned maintenance, train service between Quruvchilar (Station 12) and Yangiobod (Station 6) will be suspended starting from June 28, 2025.
“These stations will be closed in stages. For instance, two of the 14 stations – between Turon and Qipchoq – were closed earlier. Now we are accelerating the process and moving to the next phase, which includes the section from Quruvchilar to Yangiobod (Station 12 to Station 6),” said Tuychi Mirzayev, spokesperson for the Tashkent Metro.
To minimize inconvenience for passengers, free high-capacity shuttle buses (metrobus) will be made available between Qipchoq and Yangiobod stations. These buses will operate daily from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
