Honored composer Sultonali Rahmatov dies at 55

Renowned Uzbek composer and Honored Artist of Uzbekistan, Sultonali Rahmatov, has passed away at the age of 55, according to a statement by the Ministry of Culture.
The composer, widely known for his works such as Uzbekistan, Hayot guli (The flower of life), Navruz, Vals (Waltz), and Sharq taronasi (Melody of the East), had been suffering from diabetes, liver cirrhosis, and fluid buildup in the kidneys. He died following a heart attack.
Sultonali Rahmatov was born on January 13, 1970, in Tashkent. In 2010, he was awarded the honorary title of Honored Cultural Worker of Uzbekistan. In 2006, he was recognized as a composer by the Royal Academy in New York. He was a member of the Union of Composers and Songwriters of Uzbekistan and served as the artistic director of the Central Song and Dance Ensemble under the Ministry of Defense.
Throughout his career, Rahmatov made significant contributions to the development of Uzbek pop and composition, dedicating himself to the growth of these musical genres.
