Traffic fines in Uzbekistan to increase from August 1: Full list
Due to the increase in Uzbekistan’s base calculation unit (BCU) — a benchmark used to determine taxes, fees, fines, duties, and payments for public services — fines for traffic violations will also rise starting August 1.

The BCU will increase by nearly 10%, from 375,000 UZS to 412,000 UZS.
Accordingly, the new fine amounts for various traffic violations will be as follows:
- Not wearing a seatbelt: 206,000 UZS (previously 187,500 UZS)
- Lack of first aid kit, reflective vest, fire extinguisher, emergency stop sign, or technical inspection certificate: 206,000 UZS (previously 187,500 UZS)
- Failure to obey road signs or driving on pedestrian paths: 206,000 UZS (previously 187,500 UZS)
- Driving without documents: 412,000 UZS (previously 375,000 UZS)
- Driving without insurance: 412,000 UZS (previously 375,000 UZS)
- Running a red light: 824,000 UZS (previously 750,000 UZS)
- Parking in unauthorized areas: 824,000 UZS (previously 750,000 UZS)
- Using or talking on a phone while driving: 1,236,000 UZS (previously 1,125,000 UZS)
- Driving without license plates: 2,060,000 UZS (previously 1,875,000 UZS)
- Speeding by up to 20 km/h over the limit: 412,000 UZS (previously 375,000 UZS)
- Speeding by 20–40 km/h: 2,060,000 UZS (previously 1,875,000 UZS)
- Speeding by more than 40 km/h: 3,708,000 UZS (previously 3,375,000 UZS)
- Driving in the oncoming traffic lane: 4,120,000 UZS (previously 3,750,000 UZS)
- Refusing a medical examination for intoxication: 6,180,000 UZS + driver’s license suspension for up to 3 years (previously 5,625,000 UZS)
- Driving under the influence of alcohol: 10,300,000 UZS + license suspension for up to 3 years (previously 9,375,000 UZS)
- Operating a vehicle with tinted windows without permission: 10,300,000 UZS (previously 9,375,000 UZS)
- Repeat offense of illegal window tinting within one year: 8,240,000 UZS (previously 7,500,000 UZS)
For reference, the BCU was last raised on October 1, 2024, from 340,000 to 375,000 UZS.
